The Imola Circuit and MAICC
The city of Imola is best known for the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the Formula 1 race circuit, an attraction of great interest to racing fans and many others. Located close to the city centre, you can visit a museum dedicated to the cars and their drivers, with surprising exhibits and evocative footage: the MAICC – or the Checco Costa Multimedia Museum of the Imola Circuit, the innovative exhibition space which opened on 10 April 2019 inside the racing circuit itself.
For its inauguration, the museum chose to pay tribute to the great, timeless champion Ayrton Senna with an exhibit retracing the timeline of the Brazilian champion's career. The exhibition is very engaging for visitors, who, through masterfully narrated videos, find themselves catapulted into the passenger seat beside Senna in his most significant feats.
The itinerary is divided into five themed areas and winds along four exhibition spaces which also feature objects owned by Senna and used during his races.
